What are bingo wings and how do we treat them?
Bingo wings are the term often used to describe the presence of fat deposits in the tricep area. This can cause increased skin laxity causing a drooping effect of the surrounding skin. This is often a result of weight increase but can also occur due to aging from the loss of collagen we experience. Bingo wings are often more common in women than men, where 3 out of 4 women say they are insecure about there arms. But what can we do to treat them?
Cool sculpting - The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is an FDA cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment referred to as cryolipolysis. This treatment works by cooling the fat cells enough to kill or break the cell membrane of the adipose (fat cell). Remarkably the fat freezes faster than the surrounding tissue and therefore surrounding cells are not effected. The body clears away the debris from the broken cells naturally through the lymphatic system.
Aqualyx - Aqualyx is an aqueous solution containing the active ingredient, deoxycholate. This molecule has the ability to dissolve fat cell membranes in turn causing fat cell reduction. The fatty acids released in this process are then naturally removed by our natural metabolic processes. Deoxycholate is found naturally occurring in our liver and is therefore deemed safe and non-toxic to the body. This treatment leads to the permanent reduction of fatty tissue and so the area will not return back to its previous state.
Radio frequency - to smooth and tighten skin which could have been stretched over time.

This can cause a sagging affect and is a area of concern amongst many people however coolsculpting or aqualyx can assist in the removal of this as a targeted treatment for removing fat cells”
