What can we do to treat your décolletage concerns?
Decolletage is the term used to describe the chest area on a women including the cleavage. This area, like all skin is subject to ageing with issues arising such as age spots and wrinkles. This can can give of an older appearance than you actually are due to the inconsistent texture and pigment. Sun damage is the biggest culprit when it comes to decolletage concerns. Sun damage from ultraviolet radiation causes premature ageing due to the change in DNA structure. Although it is possible to soften the effects of sun damage, you cant reverse the changes which have occurred within your DNA structure. It is therefore vital to protect your skin by wearing factor 50 when needed and avoiding direct sun exposure as much as possible.
However at Klnik we have a number of treatments to help treat your décolletage concerns. These include:
Dual high - this offer lifting and tightening of the chest area, dramatically reducing the signs of ageing.
Skin care - Our medical grade products from Obagi offer a Elastiderm décolletage treatment applied on a regular basis.
Radio frequency - to smooth out the skin and improve laxity in the area.
PRP - the process of injecting platelet rich plasma into the area to promote healing.
Radiesse treatment - a biostimulant to improve skin quality.

Before and After
“The skin in the declotage area is very thin and so taking care of it is paramount. If the correct steps are not taken this can give away your age. A multi treatment protocol is best. This can include radiofrequency, ultherapy and biostiulants but to name a few.”

For Radiesse and Profhilo the recovery will be minimal. you may have small amounts of swelling and redness for 24 hours.
With PRP, laser or IPL the recovery time will be longer, especially if you are having pigmentation treated.
Pigmentation or sun damage goes through a healing process whereby it initially gets darker, becomes dry and flaky and slowly sheds off the skin over a 1-2 week period. It's important not to pick the skin during this time, or over moisturiser as the dryness will encourage the skin to shed.
-
Injectables like Radiesse and Profhilo will provide instant results! The procedure will need repeating, potentially every 6 months, but this is client dependent.
Treatments such as IPL and laser can also provide fast results in 3-4 weeks, they will also stimulate the body's natural collagen.
-
Ageing causes wrinkling, laxity and pigmentation on this area. It is readily exposed to the sun, which causes the collagen and elastin to break down faster. After 30 years old we begin to loose 1% collagen per year. Factor 50 sun protection is the best product to prevent ageing.
-
This is treatment dependent.
For injectables, including PRP, it will be 24 hours of avoiding products and heat in the area to prevent infection.
For microneedling, and laser/IPL the down time is 24-48 hours but you may have dryness and darker pigment for 1 week after.
